3. How we use information

We use personal data to:

  • create and manage your account and sign you in;
  • provide the Service, including generating and editing designs, preparing production files and carrying out tasks in the desktop app;

  • operate the Gallery, including showing your published designs and public profile, and handling reports;

4. AI processing

The Service uses cloud AI models. To generate a result, we send the content needed for that task, such as your prompt, the images or files you selected, and screenshots taken during a desktop task, to third-party AI model providers. The desktop app works only with what a task needs; it does not scan your disk or screen in the background.

We do not use your content to train AI models, and our AI model providers are not permitted to train their models on it.

We keep records of AI runs so that we can troubleshoot problems, prevent abuse and check the quality of the Service. Members of our team may review these records, for example when you report a problem with a response.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as described below.

  • Service providers that help us run the Service on our behalf: cloud hosting, databases and file storage; AI model providers; payment processing; email delivery; error monitoring, AI run monitoring and analytics. They may use personal data only to provide their services to us.
  • Production partners that make the products you order. They receive the designs, files and specifications needed to make your product.
  • Shipping carriers, which receive the recipient name, delivery address and phone number needed to deliver your order.
  • Our payment processor, Stripe, which collects your payment details directly. See Stripe’s privacy policy for how it uses your information.
  • Other users, who can see what you publish to the Gallery (see Section 6).
  • Sign-in providers. If you sign in with Google, Google provides us with the account information described in Section 2.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose personal data where required by law, or where we believe in good faith that it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, enforce our agreements, or protect the rights, property or safety of UseIt, our users or others.
  • Business transfers. Personal data may be transferred to a third party if we undergo a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy or other transaction in which that third party assumes control of all or part of our business.
  • With your consent, or at your direction.

We may also create aggregated, de-identified or anonymized data that no longer identifies you, and use and share it for lawful business purposes.

6. Public content in the Gallery

When you publish a design to the Gallery, the following become public right away: the design’s title and description, its cover and example images, the method used to create it and the resources it needs, and your public profile (name, bio and avatar). Comments, likes and follows are public too. Your project chats stay private.

Anyone who visits the Gallery can see public content, and other users may make their own versions of your design. Please don’t include personal information in a design or description that you don’t want to be public. Content you later remove from the Gallery may remain in versions other users have already made.

7. Cookies and analytics

Our website (useit.im) uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it, for example which sections are viewed, how far people scroll and which links they click. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives information such as your IP address and device. You can block cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

The UseIt Studio apps use cookies and similar browser storage that are needed to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences, and they use error monitoring, and may use product analytics, to keep the Service working and improve it.

We do not use advertising cookies. Our Service does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals.

8. International transfers

We are based in Singapore, and we and our service providers process personal data in other countries, including the United States. For orders, your order and delivery details are also processed in the countries where your products are made and shipped from. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those where you live. Where required, we take steps to make sure your personal data receives an adequate level of protection.

9. Data retention

We keep personal data for as long as we need it to provide the Service and for the purposes described in this policy. For example:

  • we keep your account and profile information for as long as you have an account with us;
  • we keep your projects and chats until you delete them or your account is deleted;
  • we keep order, payment and tax records for as long as required by law and for accounting; and
  • we keep logs and records of AI runs for a limited period, for troubleshooting.

We may keep information longer where required by law or to resolve disputes, and we may keep de-identified data indefinitely.

10. Your choices and rights

You can update your profile and delete your chats in the Service at any time. To delete your account, email us at support@useit.im from the email address associated with it.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

11. Data security

We protect personal data using appropriate physical, technical, organizational and administrative measures, and we encrypt data in transit. You can help protect your account by choosing a strong password, limiting access to your devices and signing out when you are done. No method of transmitting or storing data over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will tell you about material changes by posting a notice on our website or in the Service, by email, or by other means, and we will update the “Last updated” date above. If you continue to use the Service after the changes take effect, the updated policy applies to you.
